I’m going to give running with my dogs another whirl. I miss my 5km jaunts with my terrier, since our lurcher joined us they fell away due to his preference for stopping and sniffing. Anyway, what’s a few stops between friends? I’ve ordered myself some new trail shoes and I’ll see what happens. πŸƒπŸ»πŸ•

I posted a photo of a sheep skull last week, I think more bones may be sitting in the overgrown corner of the garden. My lurcher laughed at my attempt to block it off and launched over said blockage last-night. Couldn’t get back though, which traumatised all concerned. πŸŒ±πŸ•

My dogs have found some fox poo in the garden. At the time of writing I have not located said shizzle. πŸ•

If there’s anything better than the affection of a dog, I’m yet to find it. πŸ•

My terrier has a very naughty bottom. πŸ•

    Shane and I today. πŸ•

Shane the lurcher looks into the distance as a hairy faced man looks constipatedly into the lens.

Operation β€˜sneak tablet into dog’s food’ unsuccessful. He got more food, but little of the tablet. We are bereft of cheese, but I will win. πŸ•

If I could have one super power, it would be to communicate with my lurcher friend Shane. He’s so riddled with anxiety and trauma, even now, and I just want him to know how loved he is and never to worry. πŸ•Shane the lovely lurcher cuddles in to his human.

    Doofus face. πŸ•

Shane the lurcher smiles like no-one’s watching.

    Shane and Leela. πŸ•

Shane the lurcher and Leela the terrier sit, unimpressed, in the back of a car.

    Shane is sleeping. πŸ•

Shane the lurcher looks cute as he reclines on the sofa, fast asleep.

I might not be running, but I’m getting the dog walks in. 1000km this year. πŸƒπŸ»πŸ•

A screenshot showing 1000km walked this year.

A day off from the dog-walk as both my babies seem to be under the weather. πŸ•

Shane had a wash and trim yesterday. πŸ•

Shane the lurcher looks at the camera. His dark eyes are gorgeous, his black nose a boopable splat of gorgeousness.

Dropped the dogs to the groomers. All I could hear was Leela crying as I went to drive away. πŸ•πŸ₯Ί

Maybe I need to get their walk done, then head out when we get home from the trail? That means a 5km run straight after a 5km walk. I prefer running up the trail, it’s a lot more pleasurable for me. No cars, fewer people and beautiful countryside. Maybe a walk/run and stop seeking perfection? πŸƒπŸ»πŸ•

I am utterly racking my brains trying to work out how to get my running routine back on track. I used to run with my terrier, but since getting our lurcher, things have changed. He loves stopping and sniffing whereas the terrier, like me, has no time for stopping. πŸ•πŸƒπŸ»

Got up at 6am, walked the dogs, breakfasted and relaxing with a coffee now. Good job, Benji. Good job. πŸ˜πŸ•

I’m kicking myself for not getting up at 6am to take the dogs out for their walk. 8am rolls around and I can’t help but think β€˜I would have been back by now’. πŸ˜πŸ•

Up at 6am the past two mornings to get the dog walk done and dusted early doors. Horrible going out at that time, but great to get my exercise completed before the day starts. πŸ˜πŸƒπŸ»πŸ•
