Shane the lurcher had another wobble this morning and hid, shaking, in the garden. Leela the terrier and Shane managed to escape the garden last night through a gap in the hedge, which they know they shouldnโ€™t do. Leela was covered in cow shizz but was unbothered, Shane obviously ruminated. ๐Ÿ•

Every now and again my anxious, trauma infused lurcher will have a little wobble and sit in the garden, refusing to come in. He did this often when we first adopted him and it generally ended up with him running away and hiding for a while. Anyway, he sat, he rummaged and came back this morning. ๐Ÿ•

Stopped feeling sorry for myself and got up at 6am to take the dogs up the local trail. Saw some hares, my arms are an inch or two longer after Leela and Shaneโ€™s futile attempts to ignore their predatory nature and strain the leash trying to persue said cute little leporids. ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿป

    Missing my Runs.

I adore my walks with Leela and Shane, but my body misses my runs. I think Leela misses our runs, too. Shane, bless him, loves his sprints around the garden but thereโ€™s too many scents to distract him on a 5km+ jaunt, so we all just walk and allow him to do what makes him happy. Iโ€™m not sure thereโ€™s enough hours in the day for walks, for runs, for hobbies and housework - but maybe I need to make some time.

Took Leela the terrier to get her yearly vaccination. Somehow between getting her out of the car and going into the vets, I cut my thumb and bled everywhere, then Leela piddled on the floor due to anxiety. A fine impression I must have made. ๐Ÿ•

    Well, thatโ€™s better. ๐Ÿ•

A beardy man kisses a hairy lurcher. Beardy man smiles next to smiling lurcher. Beardy man with daft smile and daft dog with an even dafter expression.

I would like attention please, kind sir. ๐Ÿ•

Leela the terrier waits patiently on a blue sofa for some tasty sausages to finish cooking.

One, or both of the dogs got the thundering shitskies in the kitchen last night. It was like Willy Wonkaโ€™s chocolate factory, only not a world of pure imagination but a floor of pure faeces. ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ’ฉ

Got up at 6am and took the dogs out for a walk. Might make this a routine until the schools re-open, or Iโ€™ll struggle to get out. ๐Ÿ•

Shane the lurcher went for his morning poop when we went out for a walk, but got a clanker caught in his bum hair so I used some weeds to de-clank and clean him. Thatโ€™s the closest Iโ€™ve felt to being Bear Grylls in my life.๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ’ฉ

    My pretty Leela. ๐Ÿ•

Shane, the anxiety ridden lurcher. ๐Ÿ•

Dog walk, before it gets too hot. ๐Ÿ•

Shane the lurcher on the left, Leela the terrier on the right, pull at their green leashes to move faster up the hilly gravel trail.

Got the dog walk in early before the temperature rises. ๐Ÿ•

    My dogs. ๐Ÿ•

Shane the hairy and lurcher and Leela the terrier sit, panting and smiling, in the back of a car after their walk.

Shane the dog strikes again. ๐Ÿ•

Shane the dog chewed the (unplugged) plug off my wifeโ€™s favourite lamp last night while she was away. I believe Iโ€™m in the doghouse now. ๐Ÿ•

Leelaโ€™s face sums up what itโ€™s like to be friends with a needy, hairy, bloke like me. ๐Ÿ•
